With obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), your upper airway is partially or completely blocked when you are sleeping. This reduced airflow causes you to wake you up. It is a pattern that continues throughout the night and prevents you from sleeping well. Oral appliances are utilized to hold your mouth in a position that makes sure you get enough airflow. They help you breathe better and help assure a better nights rest. They are also much less cumbersome than traditional CPAP machines, and are much more portable!
